Exit Outcomes Upon graduation from the 8th grade at Dunsmuir Elementary School students should exhibit the following:
Pesticide Usage The Healthy Schools Act of 2000 requires that all schools give written notification to families prior to pesticide use on campus. A letter is mailed to all families before the DES and Summit Academy campuses are treated. Spring break is the usual time scheduled for the use of pesticide products. Material safety data and sample label information is available in the district office. Asbestos Management Both district campuses receive periodic inspections for asbestos-containing materials. Inspections are done in accordance with the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act. The latest report, dated April 3, 2002, submitted by CTL Environmental Services, states that there are no friable asbestos-containing materials on either campus. A copy of the report is available in the district office. |
